Indian automobile market is one of the biggest and fastest growing automobile markets in the world. And its obvious that different people have different needs. And so car companies offer different types of cars to their customers. So that they can choose the one that fits their needs. And in today's blog we will discuss about the different types of cars sold in India, based on their body types.
1. Hatchback: This kind of vehicle is a little vehicle with a rear door that swings upward to show the boot area where you may store your luggage. Hatchbacks are typically built with four doors, excluding the back door, while two-door hatchbacks are also sold in the market. Performance-oriented hatchbacks can have either a front-wheel or rear-wheel drivetrain, but most hatchbacks only have a front-wheel drivetrain. Some of India's top hatchbacks are listed below:
->Maruti Suzuki Alto
->Hyundai I10
->Renault Kwid
->Maruti Suzuki Baleno
->Volkswagen Polo

2. Sedan: A sedan's major characteristic is that its passenger and cargo spaces are created separately. Four doors and a boot or trunk are standard on sedans. An automobile with an engine, passenger, and cargo box configuration is called a sedan. In American English, the word sedan is used, whereas in British English, the word saloon is.
The subcategories of sedans include fastback, compact, and subcompact. Some of India's top sedans are listed below:

3. Compact Sedans: These vehicles are tax-favored by the Indian government and are less than four metres long.
Indian automakers created car body shapes that are unique to India to take advantage of the pricing aspect. One such special car is the small sedan. Although these vehicles have four doors and a boot or trunk, they have substantially less room than a typical sedan. Some of India's top small cars are listed below:

4. Coupe: A two-door vehicle with a sloping roofline and a sporty stance is referred to as a coupe. The majority of these coupes have a strong engine and either have two seats or have smaller rear seats. Recently, though, four-door coupes have been created, but their sporty traits have not changed.
The majority of Indian drivers do not favour this type of vehicle, although there are international automobile makers offering them in India for a select group of motorists. Some of India's top coupes are listed below:
->Ford Mustang

6. MPV/Minivan: Multi-Purpose Vehicles, or MPVs, are passenger vehicles that are meant to provide extra room and seats with two, three, or more rows of seating. Here are a few of India's top small SUVs:

11. 4-Door Coupe: The term "4-door coupe" refers to a standard coupe with four doors.
